We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Application Engineer to support existing customers and business development activities for our data cooling market. This role involves technical expertise, project cost quoting, creation of drawings for fabricated assemblies, and customer interaction. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the data center or metal fabrication industries, and a preferred knowledge of liquid cooling systems. This position requires a deep understanding of both the technical aspects of sanitary components and data center or metal fabrication equipment.
Primary Duties
- Collaborate with customers to understand their technical and operational requirements for cooling systems.
- Provide technical guidance on selecting the appropriate products and configurations. Strengthen customer relationships through technical support and expertise
- Generate and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for customer presentation and approval.
- Design manufacturing drawings using 3D modeling software based off customer designs, drawings or specifications.
- Support sales with detailed product knowledge and technical attributes.
- Develop itemized project cost quotes for sales to utilize for customer proposals
- Create Bill of Materials and Machine Routers for fabricated and assembled products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, production planning, and manufacturing to ensure alignment and support for business development initiatives.
- Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to help promote the company’s products and services.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical/application engineering within the metal fabrication or Data Cooling markets.
- Knowledge of liquid cooling technologies preferred.
- Proficient with 3D modeling software and proper industry drawing conventions, preferably Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD.
- Ability to travel for business including overnight, by air and driving.
- Able to perform the physical demands of the job including:
- Ability to safely navigate a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to use office, phone and computer equipment.
