Custom Manufacturing of Sanitary & BPE Products
Steel & O’Brien makes custom sanitary fittings up to 12”. We not only have the ability to make dimensional variations of the products in our catalog, but we can also completely manufacture original products — regardless of their complexity! When you need sanitary or BPE fittings, valves, tubing, strainers, spools or other products that aren’t in our catalog, simply ask us about our custom capabilities.

Engineering. Our engineering staff works with the latest 3D CAD/CAM software to turn your designs into quality products. We like to make things simple for customers and regularly quote and draw custom items from napkin sketches. We typically provide customer approval drawings within 24 hours of receiving your order.
Fabricating. Our AWS D18.1 certified welders can fabricate tubular assemblies up to 12” O.D. Orbital welding equipment is available for high-purity welds that require no additional finishing. We also furnish weld maps and logs where required.
Machining. Steel & O’Brien utilizes the very latest CAM technology to produce high-quality parts. With a large inventory of CNC lathes and machining centers and multiple production shifts, we can set up quickly and provide fast turnaround on custom parts.
Finishing and Polishing. We have expert polishers who routinely provide documented finishes as low as 15 Ra (roughness average). Electropolishing and passivation are also available.
Welding Inspection and Documentation. Inspecting and documenting welds, along with overall quality, are vital. We offer drawings, weld maps, borescope videos and weld logs.
