Welcome to our Inaugural BLOG! Well, what a difference a year makes! I joined the team here at Steel & O’Brien the first week of August 2020 and was almost immediately out meeting with our valued customers. Having held a largely regional role before this, it has been an honor to represent Steel & O’Brien throughout the U.S. and Canada. Perhaps the most enjoyable part of my job is hearing the same message from our distributor partners, regardless of where I am geographically.

Whether I am in the desert or Appalachia, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Customers consistently feel that Steel & O’Brien has the products they need, when they need them, along with a knowledgeable sales team that provides reliable support throughout the entire process. As we celebrate 30 years of serving the Food & Beverage, Personal Care, and Bio-Pharmaceutical industries, our team brings nearly 300 years of combined industry experience to every phone call, email response, and order we support.  To earn your business, we have built our own business on superior customer relationships, product knowledge, and industry insight.

Our commitment to inventory is unmatched, with more than $25 million in finished goods ready to ship. In addition to our extensive inventory, we offer in-house custom fabrication, welding, polishing, and design assistance, all under one roof. As we continue to grow, we remain focused on expanding our product offerings, enhancing our in-house capabilities, and introducing new services that make doing business with Steel & O’Brien even easier.

We are excited and, quite honestly, very proud to announce the recent acquisition of Top Line to the Steel & O’Brien family.

Top Line products have been trusted throughout the industry for decades, with the TOP-FLO® brand of actuated valves and pumps widely recognized for their quality, reliability, and long service life. By adding these proven products to our portfolio, we are also expanding our offerings to better serve customers in the pump and diaphragm valve markets.

These products have long been on our wish list, and their inclusion further strengthens our ability to serve as a true one-stop source for sanitary fluid handling solutions. While the product offering may be new to us, we have the industry experience and expertise to get you the right products for your application, and we will be able to size and deliver pumps as fast as anyone delivers in our industry. We are very pleased to now have many of Top Line's experienced sales and engineering personnel, merging with the Steel & O’Brien family–your experience and insight are instrumental to our success.

Despite the unprecedented challenges and changing conditions shaping today’s business environment, this is an exciting time for Steel & O’Brien.
